TRAVEL GRANTS - of the German Numismatic Commission
Promotion of young scholars
The Numismatische Kommission der Länder in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland offers travel grants for speakers at the International Numismatic Congress in September 2009 in Glasgow. The German Numismatic Commission expects young scholars up to the age of 35 from Germany and the international numismatic world as applicants.
Topics from all fields of Numismatics, Monetary History and Medal History are welcome. Favourite subjects of the German Numismatic Commission are
• German coin hoards (Middle Ages/Modern Times)
• Coin hoards of the 10th/11th centuries from the Baltic Sea Area
• Modern medals and medallists since 1870
• Numismatics and museology
Applications with a summary of the Glasgow lecture, a curriculum vitae and a list of publications should be sent up to the 15th February 2009 to the Chairman of the German Numismatic Commission:
